Why does my resilience matter?


Resilience helps us to overcome the adversity, traumatic events and change we experience in life.

Even on a daily basis, worries about our health, money, jobs and relationships can place us under considerable stress.

Knowing that we can bounce back from the challenges we encounter helps us to face the future without fear.

Some of us may start off life with more of this muscle than others.

But, there's good news.

It can be learnt, no matter how old we are.

As a starting point, the mentally stronger you are, the greater the reserves you will be able to draw on when times are tough.

So, you need to create the conditions for your own mental wellbeing.

Only then can you develop the building blocks for resilience.
